Dartmoor - the Great Outdoors

DAY ONE
A chance conversation in the "Four Feathers" pub in Princetown, just below the infamous Dartmoor Prison added to the purpose of our five day's planned trek around the southern half of the moor (the haunt of the Hound of  Baskerville).

Trig points were to be removed by the O.S. We agreed to check one of them out for our new found friend and take some photographs for his article.

The next morning we set out for Shell Tor and Trig 3431.....and on the way discovered Phreak Island.

The full story and more pictures coming shortly

DAY THREE
The main objective achieved.

Trig Point 3431 on top of Shell Tor was still there (or else Richard is levitating pretty good!). And after the fiasco of the 2 previous days the good feeling was back.

Just the problem of finding the way back to the comfort of our camp at Phreak Island.

DAY FOUR

All's well that ends well....time for a snack!
On top of Bellever Tor before setting off back to the cosy fire in the bar of the Four Feathers.
